Summary
ValenTime does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. All workout data stays on your iPhone.
Information we do not collect
ValenTime does not require an account and does not connect to our servers. We do not collect:
- Name, email, or contact information
- Location data
- Health or fitness metrics
- Device identifiers for advertising or analytics
- Usage analytics or crash reports sent to third parties
Information stored on your device
ValenTime stores workout programs you create (station names, timer settings, and sound preferences) locally using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data remains on your device unless you delete the app or delete individual workouts within the app.
A small schema-version flag is stored in UserDefaults so the app can reset incompatible workout data after certain app updates. This value is not transmitted off your device.
Text-to-speech
When you configure spoken cues, ValenTime uses Apple's on-device AVSpeechSynthesizer. Spoken text is processed locally and is not sent to Rubenstein Ventures or third-party speech services.
Audio
ValenTime plays bundled sound files and may duck other audio apps (such as music players) during cues using standard iOS audio session APIs. No audio is recorded or uploaded.
Live Activities
During an active workout, ValenTime may display timer information in a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. This information is rendered locally and is not sent to our servers.
Children's privacy
ValenTime does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy if app behavior changes. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
